Marijuana wax is a sort of concentrate. It is created from a solvent being washed over a cannabis plant. It is like earwax in both color and consistency, but it houses some of the largest THC concentrations that you can access on the market. Many of these waxes have over 90% THC, while normal cannabis flowers have between 20%-30% THC. That huge potency is reflected in the intense high that it will deliver to you, but it is also reflected in the high price tag—some waxes will go for over $50 for a single gram.
Wax can be used in a variety of ways, but usually, it is used either as is, put into something, or smoked. The wax can be cut and put into foods or lotions, but some long-time marijuana users would argue that smoking it is the best version of its use. There are three common ways for people to smoke wax. The most used is dabbing, but others will use wax inside of vapes or inside of a joint.
Dabbing can be done with a dab rig or an oil rig—this is the favorite of the three smoking options because it is very similar to a normal bong. It is also preferred because utilizing wax fully, requires there to be an extremely hot temperature. This can be difficult to get with a vape or a joint, leaving a mess behind it, instead of burning cleanly.
